Center Grove captured Thursday’s boys’ high school golf regional hosted by Providence at Champions Pointe Golf Club.

The Trojans edged Bloomington South by five strokes (295-300). Franklin Community placed third at 307.

The top three teams plus top five low individuals, excluding those individuals who advance with a team, qualified for the state tournament.

Floyd Central (309) missed qualifying by two strokes to finish fourth but will send Christian McIntosh, who posted a one-under par round of 71.

North Harrison placed 14th with a score of 346. Cole Hergenrather paced the Cougars with a round of 78. Tanner Fravel carded an 83, with Cole Fisher firing an 88, Austin Reynolds 97 and Johnathon Seitz 98.

Franklin Community’s Damon Dickey was medalist with a three-under par score of 69.
