Barbara A. King, 72, English, died Tuesday, June 8, 2021, at Indiana University Health Paoli Hospital.

Born Dec. 5, 1948, in Mifflin, she was the daughter of the late John and Thelma Sturgeon King.

She was a homemaker and a member of the Mifflin Community Church.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by three great-grandchildren, Jackilyn Salinas, Alyssa Stewart and Emily Cobb; five brothers, Chet, Shelby, Jessie, James and Clyde; and seven sisters, Goldia, Jean, Joyce, Betty, Bonnie, Patty and Anita.

Survivors include a son, John W. Adkins of Eckerty; two daughters, Melissa A. Salinas of Huntingburg and Rachel S. Cobb of Leavenworth; six grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be Monday, June 14, from 4 to 8 p.m. and Tuesday, June 15, after 9 a.m. at Brown Funeral Home in Milltown.

The funeral will be Tuesday, June 15, at 1 p.m. at the funeral home with interment in Highfill Chapel Cemetery near Taswell. Brother Ronnie Judd will officiate.

The family suggests memorial gifts to the funeral home to help with the expenses of the funeral service.
