Michael L. Spalding
Michael Leo Spalding, 74, passed away Tuesday, June 8, 2021, at his home.
He was born March 18, 1947, in Louisville, Ky., the son of Francis Leo and Theresa Roberta Cissel Spalding.
He was an inspector for General Electric, was a union shop steward for IEB-CWA; he stood up for the men that he represented in the union. He was an Army veteran, expert marksman and field medic. He was such a talented man, he built their home, self-taught artist, painter and sculptor.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his son, Michael (Mickey) Spalding Jr.
He is survived by his wife, Catherine Carter Spalding; his daughter, Karma Campbell (Edward), all of New Salisbury, Ind.; sisters, Joyce Ann Stark, Angela Roberta McCubbin and Barbara McCook, all of Louisville; and grandsons, Jordan and Dalton Campbell, both of Louisville.
There will be a gathering at his home around the end of the month of June.
