The Indiana Dept. of Health will host a free mobile vaccination clinic at the Harrison County Fair as part of its ongoing efforts to prevent the spread of COVID-19.

The clinic will be set up Friday and Saturday from 4 to 10 p.m. Appointments are encouraged, but walk-ins will be accepted while vaccine supplies last.

To schedule a first-dose appointment, register online by visiting or call 211 (866-211-9966) from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Those who are receiving their second dose should have their appointment already scheduled.

The Harrison County Health Dept. said it is grateful for the partnership with the Indiana Dept. of Health and Harrison County fair board to offer COVID-19 vaccines to the community.

Individuals will need to pay general admission to the fair.

Here are some additional facts:

• The vaccine is available at no cost, but insurance information is requested because an administration fee may be charged.

• This site offers the Pfizer vaccine for children ages 12 to 17 years, so a second dose is necessary for them to be fully protected. This will be scheduled at the time of the first dose. This site offers Johnson & Johnson vaccine for adults ages 18 years and older.

• Proof of age will be required at the appointment. Proof of residency is not required.
