Five students in Harrison County Hospital’s service area have been awarded scholarships in the amount of $1,000 from the Harrison County Hospital Foundation to assist them as they pursue their chosen health care fields.

Christine Benz of Georgetown is a graduate of North Harrison High School and current student at Indiana State University. She is studying to become a physical therapist.

Emily Bowen of New Salisbury is a 2021 graduate of North Harrison High School. She has been accepted to Purdue University, where she plans to study genetics.

Grace Erwin of Corydon is a senior at Corydon Central High School. She has been accepted to the University of Louisville, where she plans to study dentistry.

Paige Richardson of Corydon is a senior at Corydon Central High School. She has been accepted to Indiana University Southeast, where she plans to study nursing.

Steven Gonzales of Brandenburg, Ky., is a senior at Meade County High School. He has been accepted to the University of Louisville, where he plans to study biology and pursue a profession in psychology.
