A look ahead at the week in sports

The 2020-21 high school spring sports are nearing completion. Here are the events scheduled for the next week; all events are subject to change:

Corydon Central

Monday — Softball sectional vs. Silver Creek at Scottsburg, 5:30 p.m.

Tuesday — Golf tournament at Chariot Run golf course, 5 p.m.; girls’ track and field regional at Evansville Central, 6:30 p.m.

Wednesday, May 26 — Baseball sectional vs. Scottsburg at Silver Creek, 7:30 p.m.

Thursday, May 27 — Golf with Jeffersonville, Lanesville and North Harrison, 4:30 p.m.; boys’ track and field regional at Evansville Central, 6:30 p.m.

Lanesville

Tuesday — Softball sectional vs. West Washington at Lanesville, 6 p.m.; girls’ track and field regional at Evansville Central, 6:30 p.m.; tennis regional, time/location to be announced.

Thursday, May 27 — Golf at Corydon Central with Jeffersonville and North Harrison, 4:30 p.m.; boys’ track and field regional at Evansville Central, 6:30 p.m.

North Harrison

Friday — Baseball at San Sajko invitational in New Albany 5 p.m.; softball at Paoli, 5 p.m.

Tuesday — Golf at Floyd Central with Scottsburg, 4:30 p.m.; girls’ track and field regional at Evansville Central, 6:30 p.m.; softball sectional vs. Madison Consolidated at Scottsburg, 7:30 p.m.

Thursday, May 27 — Golf at Corydon Central with Jeffersonville and Lanesville, 4:30 p.m.; boys’ track and field regional at Evansville Central, 6:30 p.m.; baseball sectional vs. Madison Consolidated at Silver Creek, 7:30 p.m.

South Central

Saturday — Baseball vs. Tell City, noon; golf SAC at Champion’s Pointe, noon.

Tuesday — Golf vs. Crawford County and Perry Central, 5 p.m.; softball sectional vs. Borden at Lanesville, 8 p.m.; tennis regional at Silver Creek, time to be announced; girls’ track and field regional at Evansville Central, 6:30 p.m.

Thursday, May 27 — Boys’ track and field regional at Evansville Central, 6:30 p.m.
