Optimists celebrate 60 years Optimists celebrate 60 years

The Georgetown Optimist Club is celebrating 60 years of service to the community.

To recognize the anniversary, the club will host activities Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Planned for the day are a flea market, ribbon-cutting dedication, cornhole tourney for adults and youth beginning at 11 a.m., pictures with llamas from 1 to 4 p.m., a kids’ painting class starting at 2 p.m., a plant sale, silent auction and food provided by Farm House Kitchen.

Commemorative booklets will be to purchase.

Everyone is welcome. Anyone with memories about the Optimist Club is invited to share them on the club’s memory board.
