Information for the court news is gathered from public records at the Harrison County Justice Center and Court House. The charges listed here do not always include persons who have not yet been notified of the alleged offense. All persons charged with a crime are presumed innocent until proven guilty or pleading guilty in court.

Felonies

Possession of methamphetamine – this is the basic offense and for any amount below 5 grams, theft – defendant has a prior conviction for either theft or conversion — Jessica Lynn Gresham, 33, Louisville.

Possession of methamphetamine – possession between 10 and 28 grams — Charles D. Chinn, 38, 1600 block of North S.R. 66, Milltown.

Resisting law enforcement – defendant uses a vehicle — Miguel A. Sangester, 26, Louisville.

Domestic battery, disorderly conduct – unreasonable noise — Joy N. Enlow, 31, 3100 block of S.R. 135, Crandall.

Leaving the scene of an accident – driver fails to immediately stop at the scene — John Charles Steven Kendall, 27, 700 block of Hancock Chapel Road NW, Palmyra.

Leaving the scene of an accident – defendant crashes into an unattended car, knowingly or intentionally operates a motor vehicle without ever receiving a license — Moris Adalberto-Medrano Morales, 37, 300 block of East Street, Leavenworth.

Operating a vehicle with alcohol concentration equivalent to at least 0.08 but less than 0.15, operating a vehicle while intoxicated — Dakota Lee Conrad, 24, 800 block of Amanda Avenue, Corydon; Maranda R. Wesberry, 28, 400 block of West Court Street, Leavenworth.

Operating a vehicle with alcohol concentration equivalent to 0.15 or more, operating a vehicle while intoxicated — Stephen Robert Archer, 54, 2600 block of Smith Campground Road SE, Laconia.

Operating a vehicle while intoxicated endangering a person, operating a vehicle while intoxicated, reckless driving – drives at unreasonable high or low speed — Miguel A. Sangester, 26, Louisville.

Operating a vehicle while intoxicated endangering a person, operating a vehicle with alcohol concentration equivalent to at least 0.08 but less than 0.15, operating a vehicle while intoxicated — Joshua Richard Hanft, 37, Newburgh.

Possession of a controlled substance – schedule I, II, III or IV — Jennifer N. Simpson, 40, Louisville.

Possession of marijuana — Christian J. Morales, 24, Jeffersonville.

Shane Dudley Smith, 34, Cassville, Mo., possession of methamphetamine – the basic offense and for any amount below 5 grams, 540-day sentence with credit for five days, 530 days suspended, 18 months probation

James R. Nye, 60, 4300 block of S.R. 135 NE, Corydon, criminal recklessness committed while armed with a deadly weapon, 365-day sentence with credit for one day, 363 days suspended, no-contact order issued, one year probation

Destaney Michelle Taylor, 27, New Albany,  possession of methamphetamine – the basic offense and for any amount below 5 grams, 720-day sentence with credit for 48 days, 600 days suspended, 20 months probation

Ian Andrew Yancy Brough, 30, 1300 block of Regina Lane NW, Corydon, domestic battery, 365-day sentence with credit for 110 days, 141 days suspended, 141 days probation

Nicholas Wayne Gilland, 36, New Albany, operating a vehicle with an alcohol concentration of 0.08 or more but with a prior conviction, 910-day sentence with credit for one day, 365 days suspended; operating a vehicle while intoxicated with a prior conviction, 910-day sentence with credit for two days, 906 days suspended, to serve consecutive with prior sentence, 2-1/2 years probation

Diversions

The following cases have been referred to the prosecutor’s pre-trial diversion program. If the terms of the program are met, the charges will be dismissed after a year:

Jeffery Lynn Warren, 41, 9500 block of Tobacco Landing Road SE, Laconia, domestic battery committed in the presence of a child less than 16 years old, domestic battery
