Today (Wednesday) is the last day the drive-thru vaccination clinic will operate at First Capital Christian Church in Corydon.

Beginning tomorrow, vaccines — both first and second doses — will be available at the Harrison County Health Dept., located at 245 Atwood St. in Corydon.

All three brands of the COVID-19 vaccine will be offered. The schedule is as follows:

Mondays and Wednesdays — Moderna vaccine

Wednesdays — Janssen and Janssen vaccine

Tuesdays — Pfizer vaccine

Scheduling an appointment can still be done by calling 211 or registering online at www.ourshot.in.gov. However, calling the health department, at 812-738-3237, Option 1 or 2, is now available.

In the last two weeks, the number of Harrison County residents tested for the virus increased by 315, bringing the total to 19,639. Of those, 4,358 tested positive, an increase of 55 since two weeks ago.

A total of 13,803 county residents have received their first dose of the virus, up from 13,455 two weeks ago, and 13,480 are considered to be fully vaccinated, an increase of 1,693.

To date, 72 Harrison Countians have died from the virus.

Statewide, there have been 13,018 deaths, up from 12,883 two weeks earlier, with another 416 considered clinical deaths, an increase of six.

The number of Hoosiers tested for the virus surpassed the 10 million mark in the last two weeks; that’s an increase of 373,791, bringing the total to 10,050,352. Of those, 730,969, up from 716,306, tested positive.

A total of 2,451,687 Hoosiers have received their first dose of a vaccine, up from 2,302,877 two weeks earlier. The number of Hoosiers considered fully vaccinated reached 2,167,259, an increase of 402,017 since two weeks ago.

Harrison and 46 other counties are designated blue, the lowest of the four color-coded zones based on the positivity rate for COVID-19. Thirty-seven counties are in the next highest zone, yellow, while eight are coded orange. No counties are in the red zone, the highest of the four.
