Helma M. Seacat

Helma Mae Stroud Seacat, 89, of Milltown, Ind., passed from this life on Friday, May 7, 2021, at Guerin Woods near Georgetown, Ind.

She was born on Feb. 14, 1932, in Crawford County, Ind., to the late Leo Edward and Sylvia Beatrice Bye Stroud.

She was a former cashier and merchandiser for the JayC Food Stores and a member of the Milltown Christian Church and the former Milltown Order of the Eastern Star No. 412.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Marvin R. Seacat; son, Marvin Douglas Seacat; brothers, Darrell and Harold Stroud and Jack Stroud; and a sister, Thelma Faye Goss.

She is survived by her daughters, Sherry Diane Line (Alan) of Marengo, Ind., and Kathy Jo Stinson (Gary) of Marengo; brothers, Edward R. Stroud of Birdseye, Ind., and Terry L. Stroud of Milltown; sister, Marlene (Doodie) Green of Milltown; seven grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be on Tuesday, May 11, 2021, at 1 p.m. at the Milltown Christian Church. Interment will follow in the Milltown Cemetery.

Visitation will be on Monday, May 10, 2021, from 3 to 8 p.m. at Brown Funeral Home in Milltown and on Tuesday, May 11, 2021, after 9 a.m. until time of the service at 1 p.m. at the Milltown Christian Church.

Pastor Delvin Dee Sweeney will officiate the service.

Casket bearers will be Jordan Jellison, Kerry Jellison, Zach Jellison, Jason Line, Gary Stinson and Teddy Varin. Honorary casket bearer is Alan Line.

Brown Funeral Home in Milltown is entrusted with the arrangements.
