Hilda Johns Watson, 96, Laconia, Ind., died Monday, May 3, 2021, at Clark’s Loving Care Home in Roopville, Ga.
She was born Jan. 23, 1925, in Laconia, to Albert and Eurba LaDuke Johns.
Hilda worked in the administrative offices of the L & N Railroad and was a long-time member of Laconia Presbyterian Church in Laconia.
Hilda was preceded in death by her husband, Francis Watson; her parents; and her siblings, Marie Miles, James Johns and Col. Paul F. Johns, who was a POW/MIA of the Vietnam War and was missing for 10 years.
She is survived by many nieces and nephews who cared for her.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, May 8, 2021, at Gehlbach & Royse Funeral Home in Corydon, Ind., with the Rev. Molly Atkinson presiding.
Visitation will begin on Friday, May 7, from 4 until 8 p.m. and again Saturday morning from 9 a.m. until the time of the service at the funeral home.
Burial will be in Cedar Hill Cemetery in Corydon, Ind.
