Larry Joe Stilger, 83, died Friday, April 9, 2021 at his home in Lanesville, Ind.

He was born April 1, 1938, in Lanesville, to Louis Adam and Beatrice Rosa Kochert Stilger.

He was an assembly worker for Navistar, formerly International Harvester, in Louisville, Ky., was a Navy veteran and was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Lanesville.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Joyce Irene Lamon Stilger; his parents; and brothers, Roger and Ronald (Butch) Stilger.

He is survived by his sons, Michael (Ursula) of Batesville, Ark., Daniel (Margie) of Georgetown, Ind., and Matthew (Nancy) of Noblesville, Ind.; daughter, Julie Anne Willoughby (Trent) of Corydon, Ind.; grandchildren, Jade, Blake and Sophia Stilger, Madison and Emilee Hubbard, Gabriel and Emori Stilger, Mary Childress and Taylor, Jarrett and Brianna Willoughby; and a brother, Darrell (Jim) Stilger (Peggy) of Crandall, Ind.

A Mass of Christian burial will be held Tuesday, April 13, 2021, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Lanesville. Father Robert St. Martin will be the celebrant.

Visitation will be Monday beginning at 11 a.m. until 8 p.m. with a rosary service at 7:30 p.m. at Gehlbach & Royse Funeral Home in Corydon. Visitation will continue Tuesday morning before the service from 8 until 9:30 a.m. Burial will be in St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery in Lanesville.
