Bloomington South edges Highlanders to win Zoeller tourney
Bloomington South edged Floyd Central by four shots to win the annual Fuzzy Zoeller Invitational Golf Tournament at Covered Bridge Golf Club in Sellersburg on Saturday.
Led by Happy Gilmore’s even-par round of 72, Bloomington South posted a low team score of 310.
Floyd Central’s Christian McIntosh was medalist with a three-under par round of 69.
North Harrison checked in at 377 for seventh place. Tanner Fravel led the Cougars with an 85 followed by Cole Hergenrather at 89, Cole Fisher at 94 and Johnathon Seitz at 109.
Corydon Central posted a score of 399 to finish ninth. Alex Boman was low scorer for the Panthers with a round of 92. Seth Johnson carded a 96 with Hunter Schmitt and Cooper Shireman rounding out the team scoring with respective rounds of 100 and 111.
