Lavern Bledsoe, 70, Hardinsburg, died Wednesday, March 31, 2021, at St. Vincent Hospital in Salem.

Born Feb. 4, 1951, in Paoli, he was the son of Charles Bledsoe and Sylvia Hill Bledsoe.

He was a retired welder for several companies.

He was preceded in death by two sisters, Judy Smith and Lisa Bledsoe.

Survivors include his wife of 44 years, the former Sue Coleman; a daughter, Sarah Packwood of Orleans; two sons, Mike Bledsoe of Georgetown and C.R. Bledsoe of Mitchell; two brothers, Jim Bledsoe of Floyds Knobs and Eddie Bledsoe of Sellersburg; and three grandchildren.

Visitation will be Monday, April 5, from 10:30 to 11 a.m. at McAdams Mortuary in Paoli.

There will be a memorial service Monday, April 5, at 11 a.m. at the mortuary. The Rev. Randy Weilbaker will officiate.

Cremation was chosen.
