3 Harrison Countians on All-MSC team 3 Harrison Countians on All-MSC team

North Harrison juniors Diana Burgher and Ali Saunders and Corydon Central sophomore Ava Weber were each named to the 2020-21 All-Mid-Southern Conference Girls’ Basketball team last week.

Saunders led the league in scoring and assists with 21.9 points and 5.2 assists per game. She also snared 5.6 rebounds a game for the Lady Cats.

Burgher averaged 16.2 points, 8.2 rebounds and 1.3 assists per game.

Weber was the league’s second-leading rebounder with 8.4 per game. She scored 18.7 points and handed out 2.3 assists a game.

Class 3A state champion Silver Creek placed four players on the All-MSC team: Jaclyn Emly, Marissa Gasaway, Alana Striverson and Kynidi Striverson.

Rounding out the all-conference team were Katherine Benter (Brownstown Central), Natalie Noel and Karly Sweeney (Salem) and Zoe Zellers (Scottsburg).

Honorable mention went to Maddy Hackman (Brownstown Central), Misti Kimberlin (Austin), Demaria King (Charlestown), Abigail Ratts (Salem), Kendra Sill (Eastern) and Jasmine Walker (Clarksville).
