Several scholarships available from Homemakers
The Harrison County Extension Homemakers and Indiana Extension Homemakers Association are offering several scholarships.
The Harrison County Extension Homemakers Scholarship is for $1,000 and available to a Harrison County resident who’s been admitted to any school of advanced learning, including trade and special interest, as well as colleges and universities. Applications are due to the Harrison County- Purdue Extension Office by Monday, March 1.
The Ruth B. Sayre Scholarship is a memorial of $500 offered by the IEHA for the purpose of fostering development of women. This scholarship application is due to the current IEHA president, Anne Moore, by Monday, March 1. Moore’s address is 4734 E. Longview Court, Columbus, IN 47201.
The IEHA Career Advancement Scholarship of $500 is offered to Indiana Homemakers, 25 and older, who want to continue their education or upgrade their vocational skills. Application is due to the IEHA current past president by Monday, March 15. See the IEHA website, ieha-families.org, for more information.
The First Timer Award of $150 is offered to an Extension Homemaker who has never attended the Home and Family Conference. Deadline for application, due to the Harrison County Extension Office, is Tuesday, Feb. 16.
The I Want to Go Again Award of $150 is for an Extension Homemaker who has attended Home and Family Conference in the past and would like to go again. Application deadline is Monday, March 15.
