I received a letter recently from Lois Baumgartle of Appleton, Wis. She was so nice to write me and share that her husband, Kenneth, had passed away in March 2020. I believe I met him and Lois one time at the Blackman descendants’ reunion years ago. I will miss him.
Then, I heard from Jon Tal Murphree and his wife, Sheila, from Wedowee, Ala. This is where he grew up. He has built his home there. COVID-19 stifled his ministry journeys for a year or so, but then he had time to write four books. He shared that the armadillos dig up their yard and dig out bushes to find grubs. I had shared that my hubby had groundhogs in his barn as he has found huge piles of soil disturbed.
St. John 14:27: “Peace I leave with you (sanctifying peace). My peace I give unto you, not as the world gives, give I unto you (peace of the world is but surface; that given to Christ is of the heart). Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.”
The peace of God is very healing; it heals the troubled and takes away fear.
I was delighted in my spirit that we were going to see another snow. I opened the door on our porch to a soft-falling snow. It was peaceful and silent as it fell, as with God’s spirit that falls upon our spirit. His Holy Spirit heals and brings peace. Trust God and pray.
