Bonnie F. Dennison, 89, of Laconia, died Sunday, Jan. 24, 2021, near Laconia.

She was born Feb. 26, 1931, in Harrison County, Ind., to the late Lawrence and Mellie Lohmeyer Stevens.

She was a farmer, was formerly employed at the old Indiana Army Ammunition Plant near Charlestown, the U.S. Census Bureau in Jeffersonville and Hobart Service, Lorillard Tobacco Co. and American Tobacco Co., all in Louisville, and was a member of Smith Campground United Methodist Church in Dogwood, Ind. Bonnie loved her church and also loved the outdoors, especially working in her garden and yard.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Roy V. Dennison; her son, Michael Dennison; and her daughter, Marsha Schoen.

Survivors include her son, Sheldon Dennison (Sandy) of Laconia; her daughter, Rhonda Dixon (Randy) of Laconia; her son-in-law, Randall Schoen of Elizabeth; her brothers, Floyd Stevens (Mary Rose) of Elizabeth, Nelson Stevens (Bonnie) of Hammond, Ind., and Albert Stevens (Brenda) of Springfield, Ky.; her sisters, Yvonne Pease (David) of Laconia, Wanda LaDuke (Carl) of Elizabeth, Alice Hoke of Laconia, Roberta McRae (Jim) of Laconia, Linda Faith (Ronnie) of Columbus, Ind., Eleanor Keinsley of Lanesville, Virginia Absher (Alvin) of New Albany and Judy Schoen (Rodney) of Lanesville; her grandchildren, Lori Brooks (Bobby), Scott Schoen (Stacey), Chad Schoen (Lisa), Craig Schoen, Brittany Ort (Robby), Hester Rhodes (Jason), Autumn Dennison, Abigail Dennison, Ricky Casey, Ryan Dixon and Rachel Conder (Phillip); and her great-grandchildren, Libby, Elle, Zoie, Aidan, Grayson, Gabrielle, Bryce, Landon, Hailey, Peyton, Kash, Trey, Emma, Ryder, Tye and Kyler.

Funeral services will be private at Beanblossom-Cesar Funeral Home in Corydon. Burial will be in Rehoboth Cemetery near Laconia.

The family requests that expressions of sympathy be made to Hosparus Health of Southern Indiana or the American Cancer Society.
