Virginia R. Ripperdan, 95, passed away Monday morning, Jan. 18, 2021, at The Villages of Historic Silvercrest.

She was born in New Amsterdam, Ind., to the late Lawrance and Beatrice Barks.

She was the office manager for the Indiana Public Employment Association for over 25 years and was a lifetime member of the Lady Auxiliary of Veterans of Foreign Wars. Virginia was also a devout Christian who attended Christ’s Community Church of the Nazarene. She loved her dogs throughout her life and enjoyed attending the Corydon Jamboree with her friends. She loved to cook as well and adored her family.

Virginia is survived by her many nieces and nephews and many great-nieces and great-nephews.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Paul W. Ripperdan; sister, Shirley Drake; and longtime companion of 13 years, William Ludlow (Lud) Adams.

Visitation will take place at the Market Street Chapel of Naville & Seabrook Funeral Homes on Monday, Jan. 25, from 12 to 2 p.m. with funeral service to follow. She will be buried at Graceland Memorial Park.

Memorial contributions may be made in Virginia’s name to The Salvation Army, Christ’s Community Church of the Nazarene or American Cancer Society.
