Poem reflection of visit to former home
Thirty Minutes Back Home
I stopped today at my old home place,
Was greeted by the owner with a happy face.
He seemed very glad to see me.
Come on inside so you can see
Some of the changes made.
So daughter Beth and I went inside.
Looking all around trying to decide,
How the many changes we did see,
Adding to the original design. We agree —
Why the family has stayed.
They added to the home place very much,
With new improvements, gave a special touch.
Surely made us glad we came by.
Said come to a cookout. Oh, we’ll try,
To sit and visit in the shade.
