Robert L. Lang
Robert (Bob) Lewis Lang, 90, Corydon, Ind., passed away Saturday, Jan. 16, 2021, at Golden Guardians in Corydon.
He was born Feb. 23, 1930, in Corydon, the son of Jesse and Nancy Anna Franks Lang.
Robert was a lifelong farmer and worked many other jobs. He worked for the old Eureka Telephone that then became Continental as a lineman, was a self-employed water hauler, was a truck driver and hauled feed and chickens for Arpac that later became Tyson, was a school bus driver and a truck driver for Corydon Crushed Stone, and he was a member of Heidelberg United Methodist Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife of 64 years, Naomi Ruth Hart Lang; and daughter, Kathleen Yates.
He is survived by his son, Terry Lang, and daughters, Cheri Simcoe (Gary) and Annette Brown, all of Corydon; grandchildren, Jesse Yates (Penny), Jason Lang (Mary), Julie Lang, James Simcoe (Allison), Robert Simcoe and Ashley Brown Shireman (James); great-grandchildren, Megan and Brennon Simcoe and Justin and Megan Yates; and great-great-grandson, Flint Melton.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 21, 2021, at Gehlbach & Royse Funeral Home in Corydon. The Rev. Larry McCutcheon will officiate. Burial will be in Heidelberg Cemetery near Corydon.
Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. until the service at 2 p.m. at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Jesse and Justin Yates, James and Robert Simcoe, Jason Lang and James Shireman.
Due to COVID-19, our maximum number of people at one time is 25 people, masks and social distancing are required and no food is to be brought into the funeral home. We will be transmitting the service to your car radio at 106.7, and you may safely remain in your car while still being able to share in the funeral service.
