The top two teams in Class 1A girls’ basketball will face off tomorrow (Thursday) in Lanesville as the host Lady Eagles entertain Trinity Lutheran (15-3).

The Cougars have won three in a row and have lost to just two teams: twice to 12-5 Brownstown Central (58-44 and 56-43) and once to 11-4 Vincennes Rivet, 51-33.

Three players to watch for Trinity Lutheran are sophomore guard Bailey Tabeling (20.2 ppg, 4.2 rpg, 4.7 apg, 3.7 spg), senior forward Sydney Jaynes (19 ppg, 9 rpg, 2.9 apg, 2.8 spg) and freshman guard Liza Froedge (7.5 ppg, 4.6 rpg).

Due to Harrison County being listed as a “red” county regarding the COVID-19 pandemic, limiting spectators to immediate family members of players and coaches, there will be no general admission tickets sold at the gate. Lanesville Junior-Senior High School will stream the game live free of charge on the Lanesville Girls Basketball home page on Facebook.
