Larry Alan Martin, age 54, New Salisbury, Ind., passed away on Tuesday, Dec. 29, 2020.

He was born on Feb. 18, 1966, to parents Donald and Louise Martin in Corydon, Ind.

He attended the North Harrison school system and worked for over 30 years at the Blue River Workshop in Corydon. Larry was a very special kind and loving person who excelled in Special Olympics. He attended numerous football, baseball and basketball games at the various stadiums. He really enjoyed going to U of L games and the Louisville Bats baseball games and eating out at various restaurants, including Cracker Barrel and Hooters, which was one of his favorites. He attended the New Salisbury United Methodist Church and greeted everyone as they entered church on Sunday. He will definitely be missed by everyone.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Donald and Louise Dome Martin, and his sister, Carolyn (Susie) Ransdell.

He is survived by his brother, Dennis; his niece, Vicki McKinney (Brad); and nephew, Chris Ransdell (Nicole) and their son, Gauge Ransdell.

A special thanks to his caregiver, Nancy Terry, who helped take care of him since his father passed.

Visitation will be on Saturday, Jan. 2, 2021, from 2 to 8 p.m. and on Sunday, Jan. 3, 2021, at 12 p.m. at Swarens Funeral Home in Ramsey, Ind. His funeral will follow at 2 p.m. with burial at Bethlehem Cemetery in Crandall, Ind.
