The 2019-20 participants of Leadership Harrison County celebrated the completion of the nine-month program with an outdoor ceremony at Hayswood Nature Reserve due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Those who completed the program were Jessica Adamson, Amanda Dunaway, Garrett Dunaway, Lynsay Goffinet, Sarah Vincent Grimes, Carrie Herthel, Cody Hill, Allison Howell, Colleen Johnson, Kyle Mattingly, Tina Rhodes, Jamie Smith and Jessica Stroud.

Each Leadership Harrison County class selects a project. This year’s class chose to have a Baby Box put in place, with the Harrison Township Fire Station in Corydon as the location. The project is nearing completion.

Class members also select someone to present with the Servant Leader award. They chose Tim Johnson, the pastor at Pfrimmer’s Chapel United Methodist Church near Corydon.

Past Servant Leaders, in the order given, are Blaine H. Wiseman, Darrell R. Voelker, Pamela Bennett Martin, J. Gordon Pendleton, Frederick P. Griffin, Shirley Raymond, Catherine Turcotte, Brent D. Lewis, Karolyn Mangeot, Maxine Brown, Larry Bennett, Steve Shetter, Donn Blank, Callie Zimmerman, H. Lloyd Whitis, Judy Hess, Tom Hill, Allen Rudolph, Pete and Joan Schickel, Mickie Vallandingham, Gary Geswein, Kim Grizzel, Dinah Conder and Nissa Ellett.
