The Harrison County Public Library is open. Masks and social distancing required. The library offers curbside pickup for those who prefer not to enter the building. Live Zoom programs

Storytime — Tuesday, Dec. 1, at 2:30 p.m., Holly Jolly Fun; and Tuesday, Dec. 15, at 2:30 p.m., Christmas Is Coming. To request a link with Ms. Nikki and Ms. Shawnda, call the Palmyra Branch at 812-364-6425.

Youth program videos, activities/crafts to go

Watch and participate with librarians for Mother Goose, Toddler Time, Storytime and Cooking program videos from the Youth Program Videos webpage. In-person programs

Nature Club — On Saturday, Dec. 5, at 1 p.m., meet Miss Eden at the Doolittle Trail across from Harrison County Lifelong Learning at 101 West S.R. 62, Corydon; masks and social distancing required; limited to 16 children. Call the Corydon branch Children’s Desk at 812-738-4110 to register. Registration is required.

Special programs

Downtown Corydon Christmas Scavenger Hunt — During December, pick up a list of clues and a recipe for Santa’s favorite cookies at the Corydon branch. Find the Christmas characters with a cookie ingredient in the windows of downtown businesses.

Santa Reads “The Night Before Christmas” — Sunday, Dec. 6, there will be a special video visit from Santa that will be available to view the whole month.

The library and all of its branches will be closed Dec. 24 and 25 for Christmas and Dec. 31 and Jan. 1 for New Year’s.
