Jay K. Wolfe, 89, New Middletown, Ind., passed away Monday, Nov. 9, 2020, at his home in New Middletown.

He was born Jan. 20, 1931, in Harrison County, Ind., the son of Toney and Jennie Seitz Wolfe.

Jay was a farmer and an employee of Millwright Construction in Louisville, Ky. He was a member of the Indiana/Kentucky/Ohio Regional Council of Carpenters, Indiana Farm Bureau, Harrison County Soil and Water Conservation, the Pisgah Masonic Lodge No. 32 in Corydon and Bethany United Methodist Church in New Middletown and was a Coast Guard veteran.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Billie J. Reeves Wolfe; brother, Henry J. Wolfe; and sisters, Naomi Totten and Muriel Felker.

He is survived by his son, Phillip Keith Wolfe of Surfside Beach, S.C.; daughters, Rebecca Fessel (Dennis) of New Middletown and Angela Stewart (John) of Corydon, Ind.; grandchildren, Sherri Weber (Randy), Kristi Allen (Charles), Ricky Fessel (Allison), Kimberly Stilger (Joey) and J.J. Stewart; and great-grandchildren, Madelene, Nicholas and Peyton Allen, Lilli, Bryce and Ava Weber, Tyler, Jackson and Brody Fessel and Macy Stilger.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Friday, Nov. 13, 2020, at Gehlbach & Royse Funeral Home in Corydon. Burial will be in Bethany United Methodist Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 12, 2020, and Friday from 9 to 11 a.m., also at the funeral home in Corydon.

Due to COVID-19, please wear a mask and socially distance and no food is to be brought to the funeral home to publicly share.

The family suggests memorial gifts be made to either the Alzheimer’s Association, the American Kidney Foundation or to his church.
