The Harrison County Public Library is open. Masks and social distancing required.  The library offers curbside pickup for those who prefer not to enter the building. For more information, call the children’s library at the Corydon branch at 812-738-4110, the Elizabeth branch at 812-969-2899, the Lanesville branch at 812-952-3759, the Palmyra branch at 812-364-6425 or visit the library website at for the youth calendar.

The library and all of its branches will be closed Wednesday, Nov. 11, for Veterans Day.

Live Zoom programs

Storytime – Tuesday, Nov. 3, at 2:30 p.m., Down on the Farm, and Tuesday, Nov. 17, at 2:30 p.m., Feast for Fun. To request a link for programs with Ms. Nikki and Ms. Shawnda, call the Palmyra branch at 812-364-6425.

Youth program videos and Activities/Crafts to Go

Watch and participate with Mother Goose, Toddler Time, Storytimes and Cooking program videos. Find the craft of the week at each branch. In-person programs

Nature Club – Saturday, Nov. 21, at 1 p.m. at the Doolittle section of the Indian Creek Trail in Corydon. Meet Miss Eden at the trail across from Harrison County Lifelong Learning. (Permission has been given to park in front of Lifelong Learning and safely walk under the bridge to meet Miss Eden on the north side.) Masks and social distancing required. Limited to 16 children, and registration is required. Call the Corydon library Children’s Desk at 812-738-4110 to register.

Special program
