The Lanesville Community School Corp. Board of Trustees adopted the 2021 budget and finalized the school calendar for the 2021-22 school year during its regular meeting Tuesday, Oct. 20.
The budget, which passed unanimously, allotted the education fund $5,603,871; operations fund $2,498,312; debt service fund $622,681; and the referendum fund $350,000.
Steve Morris, superintendent for the school district, said the calendar for 2021-22 school year looks pretty similar to this year. The first day of school for students will be July 28 with the end of the first quarter being Oct. 1. Next year’s fall break will be Oct. 11 to 15, with Oct. 18 starting the second quarter.
The school board’s next meeting is set for Tuesday, Nov. 17, at 5 p.m.
