Katherine B. Forsythe
Katherine B. (Kitty) Forsythe, 81, Corydon, Ind., passed away Saturday, Oct. 17, 2020, at her home in Corydon.
She was born Dec. 15, 1938, in Grosse Pointe, Mich., the daughter of Wyckoff Piatt and Leila Edna Fox Bottorff.
She was a receptionist for several businesses in Corydon, including Dr. David Dukes, Harrison County Hospital, Tower Automotive, Paul Primavera and Associates and Simpson Law Office. She was a lifelong Methodist and a longtime member of Perseverance Chapel United Methodist Church in Corydon and was also a member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Robert J. Forsythe; and a sister, Sarah Lou Egan.
She is survived by her son, Jeff Parrott (Michelle), daughters, Tracy Monroe (Leonard) and Katie Forsythe, all of Corydon; grandchildren, Josh Monroe (Tascha), David Monroe (Lela) and Ben Forsythe; step-grandson, Houston von Schmittou; and great-grandchildren, Dawson Ray and Jackson and Grace Monroe.
A memorial visitation will be held from 12 to 6 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 24, 2020, at Gehlbach & Royse Funeral Home in Corydon. Due to COVID-19 restrictions, masks and social distancing will be required.
At Kitty’s request, her body has been donated to the University of Louisville School of Medicine.
