Staff checks in a resident at the drive-thru COVID-19 test site that opened early this month at the May & Joe Rhoads Memorial Pool in Corydon. In the past week, an additional 454 sites have been performed of Harrison County residents, bringing the total to 8,005. There have been 681 positive cases of the virus reported, up from 638 the previous week. The number of residents to die from the virus remains at 25, with another two classified as clinical deaths, meaning they are believed to have had the virus but no test was performed. Statewide, 2,376,462 tests have been performed, an increase of 177,677 in the past week, with 138,104 confirmed positive cases, up from 126,946 since the previous week. An additional 111 Hoosiers have died from the virus in the past week, bringing the total to 3,595. There have been 227 clinical deaths reported. The test site at Rhoads pool is open from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday (only open the first three Saturdays of the month) and from 3 to 6 p.m. on Tuesdays and Thursdays. The site is closed on government holidays. During inclement weather, the site will be converted to a walk-thru.
