Cornhole tourney to benefit BBBS Cornhole tourney to benefit BBBS

The fifth annual Cornhole for Kids’ Sake will take place Sunday at Lucas Oil in Corydon to help raise money for Big Brothers Big Sisters of Kentuckiana. The price for a team of two is $40 if registered early, and $50 the day of the event.

Sign-in and final registration will begin at 1 p.m., and bags will begin being tossed at 1:30.

The family-friendly tournament is a double elimination. There will be prizes for first, second and third places in the tournament.

Nfinite Sounds will DJ the event, and there will be free giveaways, raffle baskets and a 50-50 raffle.

This year’s tournament will be in memory of Judy Ackerman, or, as she was known to those in the organization, “the Queen of Cornhole.” She was an advisory council member and one of the founding members of BBBS of Harrison County more than 25 years ago.

To register or for more information, call Jennifer Cook of Big Brothers Big Sisters at 1-502-753-3764 or Jimmy Branham of Lucas Oil at 812-736-2241. Registration also can be done online at donate.bbbsky.org.
