Emergency workers prepare Kathryn McGill, 57, of Corydon for transport by ambulance to Harrison County Hospital in Corydon after she was “bumped” by a Dodge Ram pick-up truck driven by Jon Stepro, 31, also of Corydon. According to a report by the Corydon Police Dept., the incident happened at 3:05 p.m. Monday at the intersection of North Capitol Avenue and Walnut Street. Stepro, who was headed east on Walnut, told police he stopped at the light, looked to the left for oncoming traffic then turned right onto Capitol; that’s when he said he bumped McGill, who was attempting to cross Capitol Avenue in the crosswalk. The report indicated McGill suffered no serious injuries. No charges are expected to be filed. Police Chief Matt Kitterman said both drivers and pedestrians need to be aware of their surroundings.
