King honored with Oppel award at NH
Henry King, a custodian at North Harrison Middle School, was the 2020 recipient of the Ken Oppel Staff Spirit Award for the North Harrison Community School Corp.
King was hired in 1975 as a custodian while he was a student at North Harrison High School and has never left to take on another job/career.
He currently holds the record for the longest tenure — 45 years — of any employee ever for the North Harrison Community School Corp.
The award, named for the late Dr. Ken Oppel, is sponsored by the area Lions Clubs of New Salisbury, Ramsey, Palmyra and Crandall.
