CASA seeks volunteers to represent children CASA seeks volunteers to represent children

Harrison Circuit Court CASA is currently looking for volunteers to advocate on behalf of abused and neglected children within the local circuit court.

Since the beginning of the year, 97 local children have been served by CASA volunteers.

Volunteers meet with children, caregivers and service providers in order to determine the best interests of those children and report to the court.

No court experience is necessary as new volunteers will be trained.

Volunteers can expect to spend two to five hours a month per case after the initial training.

CASA serves newborns through youth 18 years of age.
