Veterans, soldiers to be recognized

Veterans, soldiers to be recognized Veterans, soldiers to be recognized

The Corydon Democrat and Clarion News plan to print an updated special section Oct. 28 to recognize veterans and active duty military personnel.

To be included, the veterans and soldiers must currently live in Harrison or Crawford County or be formerly of either county.

Information to be included will be the person’s name, military branch, rank and years of service/war(s) they served in. If deceased, their date of death will be included.

Each listing can include a photo — color preferred over black and white — of the veteran or soldier.

Those who were in last year’s section do not need to do anything; however, updated information will be accepted. Also, if a photo was not submitted last year, one can be added this year.

Information should be  sent to Jo Ann Spieth-Saylor, 301 N. Capitol Ave., Corydon, IN 47112 or emailed to [email protected].

To have photo returned, include a self-addressed stamped envelope.

Forms also are available at the newspaper office in Corydon. Photos can be scanned and returned immediately.

The deadline for submissions is Friday, Oct. 2.

For more information, email or call Spieth-Saylor at 812-738-2211 Wednesday through Friday.
