Artisan Center closed amid virus
Due to the number of positive cases of COVID-19 in Harrison County, the Harrison County Arts Board of Directors decided to temporarily close The Artisan Center, at 121 E. Chestnut St. in Corydon.
Being a non-profit organization, this decision was made to protect its volunteers, patrons and the general public, according to a press release issued by the board.
The current exhibition, Quarantine Creations, can still be viewed on The Artisan Center’s Facebook page (The Artisan Center Corydon).
Its upcoming exhibition, Race Day, has been postponed and will be rescheduled.
The tentative re-opening date is tomorrow (Thursday). Hours will be adjusted to noon to 4 p.m. on Thursdays, 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Fridays and 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturdays.
