Restoration team to return to Reep Cemetery Restoration team to return to Reep Cemetery

The Harrison County Cemetery Restoration Team will work at Reep Cemetery outside of Bradford in Morgan Township on Saturday beginning at 8 a.m.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the group delayed its 2020 work sessions until last Saturday when it began work at Reep Cemetery.

“Reep is a sizable cemetery with many broken and leaning stones, as well as stones that need cleaning,” Mary Eve, a team member said. “Since it is a good size cemetery, this will help us ensure proper distancing. Sanitizing spray and bug repellent will be available.

“If attending, please bring a mask or facial covering for during times when we can’t social distance,” she said.

From Corydon, travel north on S.R. 135; turn right on West Bradford Road at Central Barren. The cemetery is about 1/2 mile past Bradford in a wooded hillside on the left; drive past the cemetery to enter the drive on the left. Watch for signs to mark the drive and where to park; do not block the drive for the homeowners.

Anyone interested in learning how to repair gravestones is invited to help or just watch. Those attending are encouraged to take a small stool and sack lunch if planning on staying for an extended period of time. Cool drinks will be provided.
