Virginia H. Davis
Virginia H. Davis, 86, passed away peacefully on Friday, Aug. 7, 2020, at her home in Sellersburg, Ind.
She was born on Nov. 14, 1933, to the late Perry A. and Kathryn Elliott Huntsinger in Corydon, Ind.
Virginia retired from the American Red Cross, where she worked as an executive secretary. She was a member of the St. Joseph Catholic Church of Corydon, where she belonged to the Bible Study Group. In her free time, she enjoyed reading, studying the Bible and working as a tour guide at the Old State Capital Building located in downtown Corydon.
Virginia was preceded in death by her two daughters, Laura Haeberlein and Deborah Gwen Haeberlein, and by her sister, Anne Mehling.
Survivors include her son, Perry A. Haeberlein (Lauren) of Sellersburg; her daughter, Roma Helms of Ramsey, Ind.; and her grandchildren, Ashley Smith, Kristen Haeberlein, Jacob Helms, Jenny Carr, Brittany Schott, Roma Joy Steele, Eric Holman and Faith Atkins. Virginia also leaves behind several great-grandchildren to cherish her memory.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Monday, Aug. 10, 2020, at Garr Funeral Home in Sellersburg with interment to follow at Oak Grove Cemetery in Corydon. Visitation will be held on Sunday from 2 until 8 p.m. and on Monday from 10 a.m. until the time of the service at the funeral home.
