Richard W. Johns, 58, St. Cloud, Fla., formerly of Laconia, died Wednesday, June 17, 2020, in Kissimmee, Fla.

Born April 6, 1962, in Corydon, he was the son of Bill and Carol Johns of Kissimmee.

He attended Laconia Grade School before moving with his family to Upland, where he finished his 12 years of school, then attended Taylor University and Indiana Vocational Tech College, earning degrees in industrial electronics (graduated with honors) and communications. He worked for Magnavox in Fort Wayne as a technical support specialist in the Garrett and Whitley County plants and later worked at Silver Line Windows Corp. near Atlanta, Ga.

Survivors besides his parents include an uncle, Bill Miller of New Albany, and two aunts, Peggy Smallwood of Leesburg, Fla., and Nancy Richert of Corydon.

The funeral was June 22 at Conrad Thompson Funeral Home in Kissimmee. Pastor Michael Slayter officiated.
