North Harrison High School awarded 131 diplomas virtually on May 24 and will hand them out during an in-person ceremony on July 11 at 10 a.m.

Principal Matt Kellems said the class of 2020 will be one he will never forget.

“This will forever be the COVID-19 class,” Kellems said. “I will always remember the unfortunate ending to their senior year. They missed out on so much.

“The North Harrison class of 2020 is one of the smallest class sizes to come through in recent years, but their resilience far outweighs their size,” he said.

At the top of the class, graduating summa cum laude, were Ellie Cassidy, Natalie Coomer, Alex Hill, Madalyn Marinc, Lucy Robertson, Sadie Rothrock, Gabrielle Scott, Naomi Scott and Chloe Sieg.

“The class of 2020 is the first class in which North Harrison will have based on the Latin honors system,” Kellems said.
