Doris Louise Turley Knight, 88, Corydon, Ind., passed away Monday, June 22, 2020, in New Albany, Ind.

She was born Feb. 12, 1932, in Lanesville, Ind., the daughter of William Kenneth and Wilhelmena Winterkorn Turley.

She was a homemaker, leader of the Lucky Horseshoe 4-H Horse and Pony Club for nearly 40 years, held various offices in the Old Capitol Saddle Club since the 1960s and was a member of the New Middletown Homemakers Club, Royal Neighbors of America and Pfrimmer’s Chapel United Methodist Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Donn Reaugh Knight; twin daughters, Mary Louise and Myra Renee Knight; and her brother, Wayne E. Turley.

Doris is survived by sons Michael Reaugh Knight (Diane) of Indianapolis, Ind., and Mark D. Knight (Sherry) of New Salisbury, Ind.; daughter Marla E. Ingham (Kevin) of Eagle, Colo.; grandchildren Amy Knight of Clarksville, Ind., Andy Knight of Jeffersonville, Ind., Kayla Alexander of New Albany, Ind., and Jessica Welp of Indianapolis, Ind.; and great-grandchildren Nathaniel Knight, Markus Alexander and Ella and Zachery Knight.

Visitation will be from 2 to 8 p.m. Saturday, June 27, 2020, and Sunday from 10 a.m. until the service at 2 p.m.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday, June 28, 2020, at Gehlbach & Royse Funeral Home in Corydon. Pastor Tim Johnson will officiate. Burial will be in Pfrimmer’s Chapel Cemetery.

Due to COVID-19, we are abiding by state guidelines. They require under 60 people in the building at one time, and the wearing of masks is encouraged.
