Geneva Marie Martin, 80, New Albany, died Saturday, June 13, 2020, at Hillcrest Village in Jeffersonville.

Born Oct. 25, 1939, in Fort Knox, Ky., she was the daughter of the late Ancil Collins and Virginia Lucille Seelye Johnson.

She was a retired wood worker at Paramount Plywood Products in New Albany, a member of the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary in Alton and an agnostic.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Frederick W. Martin Sr., and a daughter, Betty Colleen White.

Survivors include two daughters, Eva Marie Buckel of New Albany and Tenia Marie Reid of Jeffersonville; a brother, Robert Collins of Austin; three sisters, Mary Mongosa of Peru, Thelma Sears of Mitchell and Dorothy DeLong of Salyersville, Ky.; seven grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.

Visitation: Thursday, June 18, from 2 to 8 p.m. and Friday, June 19, after 9 a.m. at Beanblossom-Cesar Funeral Home in Corydon.

Funeral: Friday, June 19, at 11 a.m. at the funeral home.

The family suggests memorial gifts to the Alzheimer’s Association.
