A reader’s perspective of the COVID-19 pandemic

Now as I have gone out walking,

And with the neighbors do more talking.

We may grow a real community.

Since we must surely stay apart,

We may finally really take a heart,

And then provide better unity.

Reason we’re apart is the virus.

For some, it’s deadly, of course.

With all those we do grieve.

Others fortunately make it thru.

Some avoid it like me and you,

Which brings a welcome relief.

Our hearts go out for the many

Who have suffered already a-plenty.

May research find a good vaccine!

So, let us reach out with care,

Respect all of our neighbors everywhere.

With God’s help, create a new scene!
