Lane closure scheduled for S.R. 66 near Leavenworth
The Indiana Dept. of Transportation announced a closure on S.R. 66 in Leavenworth for a structure replacement project.
Beginning on or around Monday, contractors will close S.R. 66 about a mile east of Interstate 64 for a structure replacement project. This project will require the old drainage structure to be removed and replaced one lane at a time. Crews will also deploy erosion countermeasures at this location.
During the project, two-way traffic will be maintained using temporary signals. Restrictions will be in place around the clock until the completion of the project. Work is expected to be completed by the end of June, depending upon weather conditions.
INDOT urges drivers to slow down and stay alert near crews.
