Ramsey VFD to host chicken dinner
Ramsey Volunteer Fire Dept. will host a drive-thru chicken barbecue dinner Saturday beginning at 4 at North Harrison Middle School in Ramsey.
The dinner will include half a chicken, baked beans and potato salad for a free-will donation, thanks to several sponsors, including Tyson Foods, Royal Oak Charcoal, Dairy Dip, Holiday Foods and trustees of the North Harrison Fire Territory who have worked behind the scenes to get supplies donated.
Fire chief Chris Woertz said they are doing this to give back to the community during this difficult time for all the years of support the fire department has received from residents.
“We ask that no one get out of their vehicles,” Woertz said. We will bring the dinners to them.”
The 1,000 chicken halves will be provided on a first-come, first-served basis until they are gone.
