Deadline nears for booklet project Deadline nears for booklet project

The Historical Society of Harrison County is preparing to send its upcoming booklet project, “Small Town Harrison County,” to the publisher.

This is the final call for the public to submit photos or information about their small town, past or present. Submissions must be received by May 31.

More than 125 small towns, neighborhoods and communities are included at this point. If your small town is not submitted, it may not be included if it didn’t turn up during  historical research.

To see a list of the towns so far, go to www.hisitoricalsocietyofharrisonco.org.

“Small Towns Harrison County” was funded through a grant from the Indiana Arts Commission matched by the Harrison County Community Foundation.

Send submissions to Karen Schwartz, president of the Historical Society of Harrison County, by email to [email protected] or call 812-736-2373. Her mailing address is 5850 Devil’s Elbow Road NW, Corydon, IN 47112.

For more information, call Schwartz at the above number.
