The Harrison County Clerk’s Office is considered an essential service and is working regular hours of Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
The county commissioners have taken precautionary measures and closed all county buildings to the public until further notice.
E-filed court cases are still being processed although no hearings are being scheduled in person. The courts are establishing virtual hearings at this time. Litigants should call their attorneys to find out when their hearings have been rescheduled for or call 812-738-2191 for Circuit Court hearings and 812-738-8149 for Superior Court hearings.
For information about paying child support, attaining a marriage license, initiating a new case, requesting a protective order or an absentee ballot, the public may call or visit the south entrance of the courthouse where paperwork has been placed in between the outer and inner doors.
