Loan program set up for small businesses
A Harrison County COVID-19 Small Business Economic Relief Loan Program is being finalized to assist the county’s smallest businesses hit hard by the novel coronavirus with recovery efforts.
Contributors have given an initial $300,000 toward the program that will have a low interest rate.
Participants include the Harrison County Board of Commissioners and Council, the Chamber of Commerce of Harrison County, the Harrison County Community Foundation and the Harrison County Economic Development Corp.
The application and parameters of the program are being finalized and are expected to be available on the Chamber’s website, www.harrisonchamber.org, by the end of the week.
