Thomas O. Gibson
Thomas O. Gibson, 84, Floyds Knobs, Ind., passed away Friday, April 10, 2020, at Providence Diversicare long-term care facility in New Albany, Ind.
He was born on Aug. 2, 1935, the son of Arlie K. and Clora Frances McPhillips Gibson.
He was a graduate of the University of Louisville with a B.S. degree in physics and electrical engineering, a retired executive of Dow Chemical Co., past president of Rotary International in Midland, Mich., secretary and treasurer of Corydon Rotary Club, board member of the Harrison County Community Foundation, member of Louisville Bach Society and an active member of St. Peter’s Lutheran Church near Corydon, Ind.
He is preceded in death by his first wife, Kathryn Rupp Gibson; one son, Gary Max Gibson; two brothers, Arlie Francis (Chub) Gibson and Robert E. Gibson; and one stepdaughter, Deborah Miller.
He is survived by his wife, Marilyn Rigot Gibson of Floyd Knobs; one son, Eric K. Gibson of Flagstaff, Ariz.; one stepson, Nelson Miller of Indianapolis, Ind.; one stepdaughter, Cindy Armstrong (Scott) of Floyds Knobs; step-grandchildren, Richard Armstrong (Amanda) and Kate Armstrong; one sister, Diana Holman of New Middletown, Ind.; and cousins, nephews, nieces and friends.
Visitation and funeral: Private.
Arrangements: Gehlbach & Royse Funeral Home in Georgetown.
