Senior citizens menus

Meals are available weekdays at 11 a.m. at the Palmyra Senior Center, located at 1235 Greene St., and at 11:30 a.m. at the Joe Rhoads Senior Center, 123 S. Mulberry St., Corydon, for those 60 and older or disabled. Because of the coronavirus pandemic, meals are currently available for pick-up only. Home delivery of meals also is available.

Reservations should be made 24 hours in advance (by 11:50 a.m.) by calling 812-738-7603 (Corydon) and 812-364-6661 (Palmyra). A $2.50 donation is requested per meal. (A chef salad can be ordered in advance to take the place of the regular meal.)

Here are the senior citizen hot lunch menus for the week of April 13. A half pint of milk or juice is served with each meal.

Monday: Cheeseburger on wheat bun, California medley, fruit medley.

Tuesday: Tomato-vegetable soup, turkey sandwich, potato salad, snickerdoodle cookie.

Wednesday: Salisbury steak, new red potatoes, broccoli florets, wheat roll, angel food cake.

Thursday: Tangy ranch chicken, mashed potatoes, spinach, wheat roll, orange slices.

Friday: Breaded pork cutlet, mashed red potatoes, baby carrots, wheat roll, chilled pineapple.
